Nursing and Medical Service:
Our nursing staff meet Ministry of Health requirements. Each nurse is selected for their commitment, experience, and specialized training in dealing with health needs related to aging. However, most importantly, they provide the highest level of supportive personalized care, including palliative care. Our 24 hours a day nursing team consists of Registered Nurses, Practical Nurses, and Health Care Aides. Tufford is proud of the quality of our Nursing Staff and the leadership qualities they exclude. Physicians are available and attend to the residents' needs regularly. Arrangements will be made for those residents who prefer their own family physician and those who need a specialist.
Meal Service:
Full meal service is provided three times a day with nutritional snacks available in between. Meals are prepared based on pre-planned menus by trained staff.
Other On-Site Services:
We offer exemplary health care at all care levels. Besides regular visits by a physician, a number of other on-site services are available to residents such as: social worker, physiotherapy, podiatry, dental, optometry, hairdressing, dietician, laboratory and pharmaceutical services.
